I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
